A bit of information about this site (and it's
creator).
Roger Overstreet has been doing web
design and computer
art for a few years now.
He is avaible for a
reasonable fee.
Drop me a line, we'll
talk, have a cappucino.

Art Glass Maker all started with Larry and
myself talking
about what it would take to get started on-line. So I made
up
some preliminary designs, showed them to Larry and he liked it
so
off we went. Larry got his domain name and internet account
going, and I
started putting together the ideas that we worked on.
Technical stuff:I am testing my
designs using Netscape 4.04,
Netscape 4.x, and Internet Explorer 3, 4, 5, in
Windows 95 OSR1 and 2, Windows 98. I've
tried to keep it as simple as possible for
maximum compatibility. I also
check out the designs on multiple computer
systems: my own P166 desktop
and notebook, and a variety of 486's and
Pentiums that I have access to
at work. Yes, it is true, I have a
full-time job. Chemist.
Computers are merely an
obsession.
Because of the graphical nature of
this site, some
of the images may take a little longer to load than one
would ideally
like. However, we also want to show the pictures of the
glass with as
high a level of detail as possible. I've managed to keep
most of the large
images in the range of 50-150K. I am using 28.8K and
33.6K modems
and the load time for most of the pages is between 30 to 45
seconds,
maybe a minute, which is acceptable. Let me know if you have
a
problem with long downloads.
Meanwhile, Larry is testing the
website using a 386
with 4 Megs of RAM, and Windows 3.x. My eyes roll
around,
counter-clockwise, every time he asks me a technical question
about some weirdo problem he's having. Not that I don't try
to help him,
but I think I've forgotten most of that set-up
business we used to have to
go through.
If you've made it this far you might
as well check
out my digital art gallery as well.
